Silk Ribbon Embroidery, my puppy love in my craft adventure and almost the only one, is a romantic art that you can not give up once you practice. It is fan and very easy to complete that you will come to a winsome floral results. You can embellish any hat, bouqets, bags, basket etc..but I mostly apply embroidery on towel and engagement wrap because these are very popular in our country, Turkey. I did not have much free time to translate my turkish posts but if you want, you can browse my previous ribbon embroidery works & patterns. But I translated all step by step SRE Tutorials that are with easy-to-follow instructions

It has been around 2 weeks I’m visiting english language bloggers and I wanted to share with you my very first web findings for Ribbon Embroidery works, patterns, tutorials, stitches. ( Sites are not in any particular order )

Silk Ribbon Embroidery

Silk Ribbon Embroidery by Carol Daisy

Carol’s site is one of my very first finding that is dedicated to Silk Ribbon Embroidery. Actually found her site while I’m in need to make sure for the corresponding stitches terms for the ones I use in turkish. And since that day I follow her updates. She has many great easy-to-follow demonstrations for SRE tutorials, hints for beginners , and many lovely creations. Make sure to add her site to your favourites!

Ingeborg Loves Flowers

Ingeborg Loves Flowers

I really can not find words to say about her Silk Ribbon Embroidery works. They are just awesome, adorable! She also make giveaways and I say do not miss her updates :). Her ribbon works are heavy and every stitch she does really worth it. She is my favourite! At least for now :)

Vani’s Embroidery Blog

Vani's Embroidery Blog

Vani’s blog is also a must for beginners. She demonstrated many basic and popular silk ribbon embroidery stitches like straight stitch, back stitch, stem stitch, lazy daisy, french knot and so on. She also has some delicate floral ribbon works you must see. As she does not use labelling, I can not give you direct link for them. Make sure to visit her site and give her feedbacks what she will be very happy as all we bloggers do :)

Embroidered Gift | umi’s embroidery work

Embroidered Gift | umi's embroidery work

A crafter from Malaysia but the good news is that she maintains her blog in english instead malay :) I know almost all malaysians know english well enough. Umi’s ribbon embroidery works vary from cushions to wall hangings. She really has adorable works. If you live in malaysia, you can also request a class from her :)

Honey Bee’s Bliss Silk Ribbon Embroidery Works & Video Tutorials

Honey Bee's Bliss Silk Ribbon Embroidery Video Tutorials

This is a must site that you can find many Silk Ribbon Embroidery Video Tutorials for stitches .You will be amazed with her silk ribbon works too

Sharon b’s Pin Tangle

sharon b's pin tangle

This site is not dedicated to Ribbon Embroidery, but you can find various resources, patterns and some few number of Silk Ribbon Embroidery tutorials. To find them easily you can search as Ribbon Embroidery . Notice that she also provides online courses for ribbon embroidery but as per my understanding it is over for this year. you can see and ask her for details.

Final Words

I hope you enjoyed this post. I’m sure there must be more resources for ribbon embroidery but these are what I found worthy to list here. I will be inspring from them. Maybe I missed, but if you know any site related to ribbon embroidery please let me know.

Cheers~

I have been blogging for about 4 months and started with adding my completed craft projects mostly on Silk Ribbon Embroidery. Starting something from scratch is really painful if you do not know anything about blogging. Thanks to my brother, I did not have such difficulties. Coming mostly from search engines, I reached an acceptable visitor count in my 4th month, about at 800-900 unique visitors a day. I was targeting only visitors from Turkey as my blog was maintained in turkish. It has been over 2 weeks I manage my site bilingual; in english as addition. Then I started seeking english bloggers and I have explored great talented bloggers around world and honestly this decreased my productivity :) In each craft project pages, and in each sites in their blogroll I explore another sites, another great projests and I can’t help but just viewing their creations. I was amazed with the touch of women hands on knittings, crochettings, quiltings and many so on. And my little world, squuezed into Silk Ribbon Embroidery projects :) SRE is my puppy love and can not spare time to learn other things much.

Not in any particular order, following list is my picks from my about 2 weeks web findings of Craft Portals that you can find frequently updates contents of craft related projects, patterns, tutorials.

Craft Gossip – Craft Blog Network

Craft Gossip | Craft Blog Network

The very recent Crafty site I explored and author was so kind to review my SRE tutorials and create post for them. This site will bring you a lot craft stuff, ideas, tutorials, projects around web. The content is very rich and frequently updated. Read more about Craft Gossip and meet authors to explore more.

whip up | handcraft in a hectic world

whip up | handcraft in a hectic world

Kathreen Ricketson, the editor and originators of the site, says she aims make her site to be central central meeting place for ideas and projects and technical advice for all the latest that is handmade around the world. And indeed content servers her aim. You will find exciting craft works, tutorials, ideas similarly and you will find many projects to inspire for your works.

One Pretty Thing

One Pretty Thing

I liked very much the idea behind this site. And what the great is site is not managed by multiple author, that is what I understand from About page. Rachel, the editor of site, does some great work If she is the only person behind such hard work. You should check this site everyday because her picks around web are outstanding! Hopefully she picks my works one day too :) What I’m concerned about her site is that, search engines does not help her much because content is not post based. I hope she can get some help from SEO experts.

craftzine | dedicated to the world of crafts

craftzine | dedicated to the world of crafts

Having podcasts, magazine pages, this Craft site outstands among others. Their about page make no need to say extra word about them :)

CRAFT is dedicated to the renaissance that is occurring within the world of crafts. Celebrating the DIY spirit, CRAFT’s goal is to unite, inspire, inform and entertain a growing community of highly imaginative and resourceful people who are transforming traditional art and crafts with unconventional, unexpected and even renegade techniques, materials and tools; people who undertake amazing crafting projects in their homes and communities.

Craft Stylish

Craft Stylish

And this is the latest Crafty Portal site I explored among others. I did not have much free time to explore its functions but you can register for free and share your own projects on site. I will also try it later :) I would to like to excerpt their about page

CraftStylish is the ultimate crafting resource that we craved, but couldn’t find—a place to connect, discover and share with other crafters. It’s the destination for fabulous inspiration and expert instruction on the latest trends, projects, ideas, and materials. Whatever craft you love—knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, embroidery, jewelrymaking, and more—you’ll find the best information and community at CraftStylish.com.

Final Words

I’m not that old in blogging environment to explore the popular crafty, handiwork sites. Do you know any other site aggregate projects, inspritation around web ? Let me know please, I would love to extend my list in my another post.
